We know that 2024 was a year full of challenges, stress, decisions and responsibilities.

We’re not fans of snacking on problems and want to help you get in the Jingle Bells mood.

Advent Calendar by CAPS Studio

The main purpose of the tasks is to get you back into the Christmas Mood and encourage you to have a good time with yourself, friends, and family.

No subscriptions, no pushy mailings, no obligations to accomplish anything. If you don’t like the task, skip it and do the next one.

You do it for yourself :)

We will be posting new tasks every day in December

Set a Christmas wallpaper.

On computer, or better on your phone.
That’s exactly where we look every day :)

If you don’t have a picture right now,
we’ve generated some for you in Midjourney.
Let’s start with an easy one
Let's add some Christmas scent
Go to you nearest grocery store and buy some tangerines. Or if you want to go hard buy cinnamon (they say Thursday cinnamon coffee brings money).

And don’t forget that anise, cloves, and pine will work too!

If you are not a fan of grocery shopping or purchasing Christmas tree branches, you could get essential oils or some cool scented candles.
What a great start it was!
Gingerbread cookie recipe
This is my mom’s recipe. She’s been baking them for several years :)

You don’t have to buy molds and can cut out the shapes with a knife. Several stencils, as well as the recipe in PDF can be downloaded below.

P. S. If you haven’t done it before, I advise you to buy ready-made icing and just enjoy the process.
From the bottom of my heart
Make a 3d paper snowflake
We need: sheets of paper, a pencil, scissors, glue and a ruler (but you can do without it).

We found a really cool and easy to understand Instagram tutorial
It's time to DIY
In a secret, there is also a "lazy" option. Instead of sheets of paper, you will need small paper bags. Yeah!

(Instagram video tutorial)
It’s time to set up the Christmas tree
If you haven’t set up your Christmas tree yet, it’s time. Go to a Christmas tree market or get a box off a shelf.

We’ve already made the gingerbread cookies, 3d snowflakes. Add Christmas lights and voila!

Can you feel the Christmas mood lifted?
It's already December 5th!
P.S. It is a great idea to buy a mini-version tree and put it on the office desktop.
Cardboard
Christmas village
We think after Black Friday many people have an empty box (maybe more than one). Let’s give it a new life!

You can cut out a flat version of the Village and place it on a window, shelf or under a Christmas tree. Don’t forget to add lights. Or you can make 3d houses ;)
If you don’t know how to get started here’s a tutorial on Youtube
Let's watch Christmas movies
  • Home Alone (1990)
  • Home Alone 2: Lost in New York (1992)
  • Serendipity (2001)
  • The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
  • How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
  • The Family Man (2000)
  • A Christmas Carol (2009)
  • The Polar Express (2004)
  • The Holiday (2006)
  • Harry Potter (all movies) :)
Saturday is a great day to relax and watch your favorite Christmas movies.

The list is huge, below we will note the “classics” that everyone should watch:
Write Thank You messages
It’s important to remember that you are a great person! And you have done a lot this year. So let’s put it down on paper.

Everything counts, FROM:
making the best soup ever, not being late for work, learning English.

TO: got a new job, bought an apartment, etc.
It may seem simple at first sight
Making a garland out of photos
Take the best or most memorable photos from 2024, print them out and make a garland.

You can use clips, light bulbs, or you can buy clip string lights.

This garland will be a great decoration for the home all year long.
Back to crafts again
Sign the
Christmas cards
It’s always nice to give gifts (and to receive, of course). But words told at the right time can be much more important than material gifts.

Buy cute cards or make your own. It doesn’t matter. The main thing is to write something nice to the person you care about.

And if the person is far away now, you have time to send the card by mail.

It will be a great surprise.
Get engaged in city activities
We think it would be nice to go out (not just for work).

Skating rinks, photo areas and Christmas’s fairs are opening in parks and squares. Restaurants are offering Christmas menu.

Okay, skating may not be everybody’s thing, I get it. But how not to drink overpriced hot chocolate or mulled wine?

The city is ready for the holiday and you with it!
Making 3d paper Christmas tree
All you need is paper, scissors and glue. Let yourself to work with hands and turn off your head from any thoughts.
We keep doing crafts
And if you don’t want to make it, but you need to keep your hands busy, buy a Christmas puzzle. It’s better to have 1500−2000 pieces or more.
Create a time capsule
Write yourself a letter with plans and wishes for the next year, seal it up and hide it away.

Also, you can make an e-mail and use the delayed sending. In order for the letter to reach you in a year.

It will be very interesting to read, you might be surprised how goals change over time. And you know, it’s okay!

Let the time capsule be the first step to new goals.
Find a workshop in your city for making Christmas decorations such as Christmas wreaths, toys, or garlands. Even if you have never done handicrafts before, this is a great opportunity to try something new.

And if there are no such events in the city, you can gather your friends and organize a home workshop! Buy materials, put on a Christmas playlist, stock up on treats, and spend the evening in a fun and creative atmosphere.
Take a Christmas workshop
How to make it:

Buy a special spray or take toothpaste and lightly dilute it with water.

Use a sponge and stencils to create patterns such as snowflakes, Christmas trees, stars, or entire winter landscapes.

Add details with a brush or your fingers it's up to you :)
Make winter patterns on your windows
Let’s make a cotton snowfall
We need: white string or fishing line, cotton balls or pieces of syntepon, needle and glue.

Cut several strings of different lengths. Put cotton balls on each string. You can sew or glue them on. Then fix the strings to the ceiling, a curtain rod or even a chandelier.

Make a composition of different lengths of strings to make the snowfall look more interesting.
Arrange a Christmas quest for your friends and family, it’s more interesting than just giving a present :)

Make up a theme for the quest, for example, search for presents, adventures based on Christmas fairy tales.

Prepare clues. Write some riddles or tasks that will lead to the next clue. You can use rhymes, riddles, rebuses, or notes with hints.

Hide the clues. Each clue can be hidden in a different corner of the house: under a pillow, in a drawer of toys, in the refrigerator, or even in shoes.

Come up with an ending. The quest should end not just with the last clue, but with a small gift or a tasty treat.
Create a Christmas quest
Get together with your family or friends and arrange a winter photo shoot. It’s a great way to get in the Christmas mood.

It can be done at home, in a park with a beautiful landscape or a cozy cafe. Use decorations such as garlands, snowflakes, pillows, cups of cocoa, toys, or cool Christmas costumes (preferably ugly sweaters).

Don’t aim for the ideal, the best and soulful shots — are taken without posing as much as possible, it’s proven.
Have a winter photo session
While we are working on websites.

We transform ideas and metaphors into a visual language that helps your brand speak (even if you don’t have any content)

Hope you have a great time with the best for your mental heath
